Therapy Intensive

bWELL Counseling is excited to announce we are now offering an intensive counseling program for children and families. A therapy intensive condenses the therapy process by increasing the frequency and duration of the therapy sessions. In a traditional therapy model, clients meet with the therapist for 45 minutes a week for 3 to 6 months. In a therapy intensive, the client meets with the therapist for 90 minutes daily for 1 to 2 weeks.

Benefits

There is an increasing amount of evidence emerging that show favorable results for intensive therapy. Therapy intensives provide the benefits of traditional therapy plus offers a more focused and immersive experience. This can lead to quicker progress, and higher success rates with a child’s brain when relearning, rewiring, and strengthening new connections. Also, therapy intensives can be a convenient option for those who have limited time or resources for treatment.

Cost

The cost for the therapy intensive and follow-up appointments is $2,100. bWELL offers a variety of payment options including in-network insurance reimbursement.

Getting Started

Step 1: Complementary Intro Phone Call (15 Mins)

Brief phone discussion of your needs to determine if an intensive is a good fit for your child and family. Therapy Intensives are particularly beneficial for children and families that:

  • Travel Long Distances For Services

  • Participated in Traditional Therapy And Didn’t See Improvements

  • Severe Symptoms That Require Higher Level Of Care

Step 2: Intake Appointment
(Caregiver Only)

If the intensive program is a good fit, caregivers will schedule a 1-hour intake appointment with the therapist. During this appointment, the therapist will go through a comprehensive evaluation and create therapeutic goals and an individualized treatment specific to your child. The therapist will go over in detail the therapeutic intensive process in relation to goals

Step 3: Therapy Intensive

Therapy Intensives consist of 12 therapy sessions condensed into 6 days of treatment. The sessions can occur over a week (Monday-Friday) or two consecutive weekends (Friday PM, Saturday&Sunday AM). Depending on the presenting concerns, the therapist will utilize a combination of individual counseling, integrative wellness, family counseling, and parent coaching services for 90 minutes of treatment each day.

Step 4: Caregiver Follow- Up

The therapist will schedule 2 follow-up appointments with the caregiver to check-in on progress and support continued success.

Step 5: Results

Begin to see growth and improvements in functioning.
